WE MOVE IN ON THURSDAY

Now we are getting there for real, next Thursday we move into our new office here in Aarhus, Denmark. As you can see on the picture the old garage room is beginning to look nice, this is going to be the open office/Workshop area. We are only moving into 2/3 of the house now but the whole place is planned to be ready on the 1. of march. It is going to be a pleasure for us to get the big space and a great timing as well. We have many exciting projects that need full attention now in February. We are looking forward to it, the furniture are coming in on Monday and all we need is to give the place the last touch, make it the perfect place to work. Send us a line or drop by!

MOST EXCITING BATTLE EVER - DENMARK WON

Never seen a game like this before, it really was a battle. Both teams played amazingly, the Icelandic goalkeeper didn´t really get in to the game but the danish one really took some shots. It was a battle to the very last seconds, yes it was in the last seconds Denmark got the Winning goal. We at KRADS want to thank for this great game and the Icelandic team for there outstanding performance in the Championship, we hope they will take the fifth place. We then congratulate Denmark and hope that they take it all the way and become World Champions 2007.

THE BATTLE BETWEEN ICELAND & DENMARK

This is it! Next tuesday at 20:00 in Hamburg - Germany, Iceland and Denmark are fighting for a place in the semi finals in the handball World Championship 2007. This is going to be a fantastic battle, we at KRADS are in a nice situation with two icelandic partners and one danish partner. Thank god that Kristján Eggerts is in Iceland at that moment so we are one on one here in DK, could have gotten ugly with two against one. It is very good night for KRADS because no matter what KRADS will win. We are looking forward to the battle and hope that the team who wins that night goes all the way and wins the World Championship 2007.

A NEW COMPETITION INVITATION

We have just been invited to participate in a competition in Iceland. It is a closed competition where we will be up against 2-3 other architectural offices. We haven't got the brief yet - but what we have heard so far sounds very interesting; a housing project consisting of luxury rowhouses at a very exclusive and pictoresque location south of Reykjavík. more about this later...

One KRADS did CROSS the ATLANTIC this X-MADS

Yes I celebrated my new year 06/07 in Canada, Vancouver Island.

It was a family visit but of course we had the time to check some architecture out in the area..... Seattle Public Library, OMA. VERY INTENSE

When you visit Canada, you have to try Canadian Powder...And we did!...3m base + 60cm fresh...We went to Mt Washington, on Vancouver Island.....small local resort.. If you watch the image, you can see the Pacific Ocean in the background.

WE ARE GETTING READY IN DENMARK

Yes everything is in progress, our office here in Denmark is getting painted, walls have been removed, floor will be renewed and our tables are in production. It is cooking now! And it better be because we are moving in two weeks! We are moving into 2/3 of the house but that is the workshop area so we can continue working while the rest will get finished. Our office in Iceland opened October 20. 2006 and is located in the center of Reykjavík, just next to the harbour area. We are really glad for the Icelandic office, the concept for the interior is working very well and the view and the light is great. The DK office will be in a lot larger space though and here the concept is to rent out workspaces to people with different creative backgrounds. We hope that we will be able in this way to create a dynamic and creative atmosphere in the DK office. In terms of interiors we are using some of the elements from the Icelandic office but we are also experimenting more and using some new concepts. We are transforming a old car garage in an industry area into this creative house, a playground for architecture and design.
We will keep you posted on the work and would like to announce that we are still looking for some creative people who would like to join us and rent a workspace.
